Radio ministry and more December 8, 2007 09:19
Of course, every one of our bloggers is involved in media ministry, through the internet! Many are also involved in using other types of media in ministry - radio, TV, internet, films, and more.
Today we're going to look at some of those people whose lives are focused a little more closely around radio and related ministries. Radio ministry involves travel, construction, computer work, broadcasting, recording, diplomacy, and much more. Let's visit some of those people now:

See how someone else lives... December 11, 2007 07:56
Today you're going to see how other people live in other parts of the world, and you'll probably learn a few other things as well.
There are a lot of interesting posts out there, as always! Here are some to check out:- Village Preaching: Find out why we don't need to give kids those dangerously sharp pencil sharpeners, and what cute furry animal was served on a platter in Huanipaca, Peru.
- Things we take for granted: Not iPods or paperback novels - food. Find out what they ate before and after here in Kenya.
- Earth-quake!! Do you think God is trying to make a point about Belgium (or about Himself)?
- Village Funeral: This one out of Mali. A very different kind of shake-up, but even more powerful. Find out what made one man say,"Now I've heard everything!"
- preparing to celebrate Christmas among the Fulani of Burkina Faso: Remember, duroowo yari yarnaay, domka muudum heddi. Amen!
- Young Warriors: You just never know who's going to pass by in Kenya. Maybe they'd like some bananas?

I'm sure this is what they're thinking... December 17, 2007 08:47
Ok, they don't always say it. But they must be thinking it. When a foreigner comes into their country - when an Australian comes to India, or a Philippino comes to the USA, or a Mexican comes to Saudi Arabia, the nationals notice things. They notice the strange things the foreigner does...
So I just love this post over at OceanicThai, with a whole bunch of things that "Southeastern Asians wonder about us" - apparently a set of questions that have actually been asked out loud! Some of my favourites:- "Why do you get up so late in the morning?" (i.e. 6:30 a.m.)
- "Why do you think this food is spicy? My baby even eats it."
- "Why are you foreigners so fat?"
For the full list, check out Why Do You Do That?
